Priest Uendi Hostilia Marcella
Wendy first encountered Antinous while studying Studio Art and Classical Archaeology during the Spring of 2003. Shortly after, she wandered into an old bookstore in New York City and purchased Memoirs of Hadrian, soon followed by Beloved and God.
Antinous, for her, represents tragedy, beauty, mystery, love and the best in mankind ... his soul forever merged with the darkness of death and the brief brilliance of life.
The idea for the website originated from a small Antinous poetry book Uendi was working on during the Summer of 2005. Due to college and work however, she was never able to complete the project.
The website itself began to take shape during December 2006. It was first published under the name "Ephebe Eternal". Wendy wanted to do something in honor of Antinous, and share that love and appreciation with others.
In May of 2007, Wendy moved to Los Angeles to train to be a Priest of Antinous.
In October of 2007, Priest Antonius Subia, Priest Hernestus Gill, Knight Stephanos, and Wendy officially established the Hollywood Temple of Antinous.
Becoming a Priest
In November of 2007, Wendy became a Priest of Antinous. She acquired the name of Uendi Hostilia Marcella and vowed to love Antinous for eternity.
In May of 2008, Uendi launched her second Antinous website renamed "Antinous Land."
Antinous Land on Youtube
Starting in September 2008, Uendi began work on a YouTube channel devoted to Antinous. Her first video was entitled "Antinous 101: The Lion Hunt."
